Lindsay Kelley

Senior Lecturer

Working in the kitchen, Lindsay Kelley's art practice and scholarship explore how the experience of eating changes when technologies are being eaten. She is currently working on her second book, After Eating: Metabolizing the Arts (under contract with MIT Press, 2023). Her first book is Bioart Kitchen: Art, Feminism and Technoscience (London: IB Tauris, 2016). Bioart Kitchen emerges from her work at the University of California Santa Cruz (Ph.D in the History of Consciousness and MFA in Digital Art and New Media). She has exhibited and performed across Australia and internationally, and her published work can be found in journals including parallaxTransgender Studies QuarterlyAngelaki, and Environmental Humanities. Kelley holds an Australia Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (2019-2021).
